How to Evaluate Equipment Listings, Sellers, and Warranties

Marketplace listings can be incomplete. Check the exact model code, who is selling it, and what the warranty actually covers before you buy.

Match the exact model code

Equipment families often include variants that differ by voltage, frequency, or market. Compare the full model code in the listing against the manufacturer's documentation, and confirm the electrical specification shown in the listing matches your supply.

Know who the seller is

  • Is the seller the manufacturer, an authorized distributor, or a third party?
  • Does the manufacturer honor warranty claims for units bought from this seller?
  • What is the return policy for freight-shipped equipment, and who pays return shipping?

Read the warranty, not the summary

Warranty terms commonly depend on correct installation, registration, and maintenance. Find out what is covered (parts, labor, refrigeration circuit), for how long, and how claims are handled before ordering.

Treat prices as a snapshot

Prices and availability on marketplaces change often. Any price you see on this site, if we ever show one, is not a guarantee. The listing at checkout is what counts.
